Night time words to live by
” Words are a powerful tool. You can use them to build beautiful structures but you can also use them to demolish and tear things down. Think about how you chose to use your tools. ”

WELL SAID!!!

🙂
Yesss!! Words are powerful things!! Caution how and what you say!! Great message of the night! Thank you:)
They sure are.
How, what and to whom.
Jennifer
Exactly!!
Spurring me on to reread some Foucault before bed.
” What desire can be contrary to nature, since it was given to man by nature itself. ”
Michel Foucault

Thank you.
use the proper tool for the job that needs to be done…sometimes a sledgehammer is needed…sometimes one must demolish old ways of thinking to create way for new ones…not all destruction is bad…to destroy the bonds of slavery or eradicate hunger and poverty are these not good things…has greed has never listened to pretty please…in my mind a poet creates beauty, but also has an obligation to wield their words for social justice…and in that case tickling with a feather does not suffice…
Absolutely. In there lies the wisdom to use the proper tool.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and opinions.

Words dissemble. Words be quick. Words resemble walking sticks. Plant them they will grow. Watch them waiver so I’ll always be a word man. Better than a bird man.
Sorry- not sure how relevant this is, but I’m an old Jim Morrison fan, and your post triggered a recollection of his lines.
From one wordy to another…
Cheers Andy.
Everything is relevant!
🙂 t’was for this reason that the man said the pen was mightier! Well said.
Thank you.
I agree with you
I’m glad to hear that.
🙂
Comes right after two back to back blunders I made, because of the choice of the wrong words.
Well this happens, to everyone. And it will happen again. Atleast you are aware that’s the most important perspective in my opinion.
Jennifer
I prefer to play Scrabble with them, myself.
Scrabble is indeed a fun game. Have you tried ‘Bananagrams’? It’s a fun spin on the traditional scrabble.
Bananagrams? Sounds like somebody you’d hire for a hen night.
LOL No, it’s like scrabble and a crossword combined. You build your own word structure and compete against others building their own as well. I’m sure if you Google it you’ll find it.
Cheers.
And you can never take them back… you can only hope you’ll be forgiven.
Wise words Ray, wise words indeed.
My words are hammers. Everything looks like nails.
Awesome.
Well said.
Perfect visual. *boom*
Jennifer
I can do *boom*. Working on the other parts. 😀
We all are working on something or we should be anyway.
Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Cheers,
Jennifer
Some very, very good advice…
Always good to remind ourselves.
I love that!
Thank you.
Very true !
Yes, I think so.
I have nominated you for the Liebster Blog Award. If you accept, please go to my post where I accepted my own nomination and follow the same format. Best wishes.
Thank you! I appreciate it. I will indeed accept the award. I will get to it next week and give you a shout out today on my blog.

Jennifer
Blessings on your day. (smiles) No shout out required, just happy to acknowledge your work here.
Hi. I know you have awards aplenty. But not from me. I admire your style, so I am celebrating that with an award. A Shine On award. Link: http://anupturnedsoul.wordpress.com/2013/05/01/an-epiphany-part-3-shine-on-you-crazy-diamond/
Thank you so much. Such kind words. I have never received a Shine On award. Thank you for putting some shine into my day.
My pleasure, shine on! 😀

Oh my, it’s a day full of gratitude. I appreciate the nomination. Thank you for thinking of me.
You are welcome 🙂
This is oh so true. One of the things I say everyday is, “Please let my actions and words build people up, not tear them down today!” It has helped me in how I treat people 🙂
That’s great to hear Kira. Words really are powerful along with our actions. I’m glad that you are aware of how you treat people. It’s a special gift that not everyone has or even wants to have.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts.
Jennifer
I didn’t use to have it. I had a bitter tongue for awhile, but then I decided to change 🙂
Reblogged this on BDagaz {Shared}.
words are indeed powerful. I remembered and was affected by something negative said to me in passing when i was 7 until i was 35 and became enlightened.
we should all think before we speak.
totally agree!
Great to hear!
Nice! 🙂
Thank you.
